About Me

 

I have worked as a therapist since 1992 and am a fully accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and Psychodynamic Psychotherapist based in Hastings, East Sussex.

I am a passionate and supportive therapist and provide a safe and non-judgemental environment in which to explore a client’s difficulties and problems. I have extensive experience of working with clients who present from all cultural and religious backgrounds and work with all clients irrespective of race, gender, sexual orientation and ethnicity.

I work with all presentations of anxiety and depression including phobias and OCD. I specialise in family relationships and workplace difficulties.

Training and Qualifications

I have worked in a wide range of services including the NHS where I managed and supervised a psychological therapies team and the charitable sector where I taught at diploma level to counselling students as well as running and supervising a low-cost scheme.

I have worked extensively in IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) services as a cognitive behavioural therapist. I strictly abide by the ethics and practice of my professional bodies, the BABCP (British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) and the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

I offer appointments from midday onwards, including evenings, Monday to Saturday.
